Service Desk / Helpdesk Analyst
£18,000 to £20,000 Per Annum
IT Service Desk Technician - Nottingham - Upto £20k Basic Salary + fantastic car allowance (£5,700) + c£2,500 on call allowance for in 1/5 weeks manning the out of hours calls which are sporadic. It start on a Monday at 17.00 and ends the following Monday at 8.30am.
My client in Nottingham are looking for an IT Service Desk Technician to join their experienced team!
Service Desk Use of helpdesk system and customer liaison ( Windows, Office, Basic Network Infrastructure, ITIL)
Able to work on your own or part of a team
Understand and work to Groups IT standards
Problem determination hardware and software
Desktop/Laptop building hardware components installed and software installed
Basic server diagnostics
Understanding of network infrastructure Routers, switches and cabling
Active directory administration
ERP system administration
Need to be able to identify underlying problems and document solutions
Capacity to explain to end users and train in use of new or changed applications, hardware, operating systems etc.
Understand personal health and safety issues in the workplace and ensured that are followed.
Be aware where all software and documentation is kept and keep up to date
Ensure all software licensing rules are followed and any implications understood
Communicate with 3rd party suppliers
Carry out backup processes
Out of hours support
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office packages
* Knowledge of building PCs/Laptops
* Basic knowledge of network infrastructure
* Full UK Driving License
* Able to follow documented procedures
* ITIL knowledge desirable
* Thinking things through and identifying solutions
