Python and Django Developer £45K

My client a large book seller is looking for a Mid leve Python and Django Developer to join their online learning team
My client is launching a digital ebook platform. These initiatives look to improve the customer offer end-to-end from price and availability, including new systems in the Distribution Centre and supply chain, alongside new and exciting front end design and development. All of which in-house and offers a fantastic opportunity to take a part in shaping this significant High Street and online presence.

Although the business is over 100years old, you will be working in the Development team which is still in start up phase. Working in close proximity to the Tech Lead and alongside another three Java Developers you will have a chance to develop existing skills and learn new ones.

The office is based near London Bridge

You:

You'll have knowledge of current and upcoming digital technologies. You will be encouraged to use the latest designs and frameworks. You will work closely with the Digital Director and Technical Architect to enhance the design and architecture of the web application.

Key Responsibilities

*Develop new features to the existing web application.
*Carrying out work with high quality code, following open standards and best practices.
*Continuous deployment/delivery and Agile processes.
*A small, friendly team including close collaboration with UX and design.
*Redesign/refactor legacy code using best practice coding.
*Use latest technologies to improve/replace the current designs and implementations.
*Function independently or/and in a team environment and deliver results.
*Continuous deployment/delivery and Agile processes.
*Good DevOps practices for cloud orchestration with modern provisioning tools.

Required
*In-depth knowledge of python and well-known python libs.
*At least 2 years of Django development experience.
*Experience working in an Agile development environment.
*Comfortable with the command line / python scripting.
*Solid understanding of version control (git).
*Experience of using Ubuntu/Debian operating systems.
