INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER- FINANCIAL SERVICES- KENT-£45-55,000- REQUIRED strong in Microsoft Server 2003/2008R2/2012, Active Directory, SAN, Vmware/Hyper-V, Citrix, Networks and Cisco technologies, to MONITOR and proactively IMPROVE my Financial client's IT INFRASTRUCTURE!
THE FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY involves being responsible for supporting and improving the availability and resilience of my client's IT infrastructure! Managing; Servers, storage, networks, applications and desktop/end user computing and ENGAGING in P1 incidents and problem investigations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
*Monitoring, measuring, analysis and management of events, incidents and problems
*Ensure that appropriate design and planning of availability takes place for all new services
*Perform data analysis to detect emerging trends and underlying service issues, make recommendations and help formalise data management, housekeeping and archiving standards
*Perform single point of failure analysis, critical failure impact analysis and infrastructure risk analysis. Make recommendations and engage necessary teams to drive improvements
*Attend CAB meetings as required and technically vet RFC's (technical design standards)
*Continual customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills and a business awareness
*Building working relationships and effectively communicating with internal/external managers and working with 3rd parties to ensure SOP and KPI's are met
*Recognised IT qualifications e.g. MCITP, MCP, MCSE, CCNA and ITIL
